| Marketing Cooperatives were organized to ensure better price to growers by eliminating the middleman in the market operation. Marketing Sector is a two tier structure with MARKFED at the apex, 51 RCMS mostly at the sub-divisional level. Specialized commodity marketing Cooperative Societies have been organized for marketing of forest produce and specialized commodities like Tamarind, Turmeric, Jute, Cashewnut, coconut, Sabaigrass etc. |
| Further to provide storage facilities to farmers 3 cold storage have been set up by Markfed at Jagatpur, Bhubaneswar and Rayagada with storage capasity of 4000 MT, 5000 MT, and 5000 MT respectively. Jagatpur and Bhubvaneswar Cold Storage are functioning and Rayagada Cold Storage is under Construction. |

| There are two Sugar Industries functioning under cooperative sector in the state. Aska Cooperative Sugar Industry has 1291 TCD capacity while Bargarh Coopeartive Sugar Industries have got 1250 TCD capacity. Operating performance of these sugar factories is furnished below. |
